Meeting
This year, the meeting will be held March 28th through
March 30th, at the Taj Mahal Casino Resort. There will be a Poster
Session as well as participation from vendors and non-profit
organizations.
Pesticide Recertification Training Workshops
Two sessions will be held: two weeks
PRIOR to the NJMCA Annual meeting,
a session in Monroe Township will be held on 13 March at the Crowne
Plaza, Turnpike Exit 8A, Monroe Twp. A second session will be held on 27
March in Atlantic City at the Taj Mahal. You can register for either
session using this
excel form. For additional information, contact Doug Abdill at
856-453-2197. The agenda for the training sessions will be posted when
available.

Registration forms can be downloaded

Instructions: The excel spreadsheet has two worksheets, an
electronic registration and a printable version. The electronic version
is to be filled out and emailed back to
McCallp@co.somerset.nj.us
. You can print it out on 8 ½ x 14 paper to hand in for approval. The
header with the dates of the conference and the footer with the billing
information will be on the print out. The printable version is to be
printed out and filled out by hand. Then you can mail (c/o Paul L.
McCall, Director of Public Works, PO Box 3000 20 Grove Street
Somerville, NJ 08876-1262) or fax it (908-231-7127) to complete your
registration. It is highly recommended that you use the electronic
version. It would be much appreciated if you could email me your
electronic registration as soon as possible. At a later date you can
mail your purchase order or check. The electronic version is password
protected. When you first try to type into the box a window will come up
requesting the password, enter njmca and it will unprotect the form. If
you do not have Office 2003, you probably will not be able to do this
and will have to fill it out by hand and fax or mail it in.
Hotel
The 2012 meeting will being held at the
Taj
Mahal Casino Resort in Atlantic City, NJ. The link will take you to
the Taj Mahal Reservation Page for this meeting where you will be able
to make, modify and cancel hotel reservations online, as well as take
advantage of any room upgrades, amenities or other services offered by
the hotel. Booking can occur anytime after October 26th, 2011.
If a guest does not have internet access, they may contact the
Reservations Department by calling 1-800-825-8888
before February 25, 2012. Each individual must
identify themselves with New Jersey Mosquito Control Association or
reference Group Code AMOSQ12 in order to receive the discounted rate.
Any reservations made after the February 25, 2012 date are on a space
availability basis at the current rack rates.
Call for Papers
We welcome your participation in the 2012 annual meeting of the New
Jersey Mosquito Control Association. The Program Committee works
diligently each year to put together a quality program that appeals to
all of our members. We
recognize that without you, our speakers, we would have no program and
are very appreciative of your participation and support.

Poster Competition
The NJMCA is organizing a Poster Competition for our 99th
annual meeting. Posters are a
unique way to convey information about a variety of activities without
making a formal oral presentation.

PowerPoint Presentations
1. Presentation Format:
PowerPoint only. No slides or overheads.
2. Presentations should be
emailed to
av.njmca@gmail.com by the evening before your
talk. Please title you file with your name (e.g. lreed.ppt).
Please email to us prior to the start of the meeting so that
we know they will run without a problem. We'll let you know that we've
received your presentation and that it runs on the laptop that will be
used at AC. You are welcomed to make any changes necessary at the
meeting -contact information will be left at the registration desk.
3. Bring a copy of your
presentation on a cd or usb memory stick as a back-up.
4. Non-NJMCA laptops will not be
used.
5. Presentations should be kept to
a manageable size. Size can be reduced by reducing image sizes through
the use of Microsoft's Photo Editor or other photo imaging software.
If your presentation is on the grand side and is too large to email,
copy it to a CD or a memory stick and bring it to the meeting to be
loaded PRIOR to the start of your
session. If this is your option, make sure to let me know through an
email to
av.njmca@gmail.com .

Photo Salon
Photo salon photos should be emailed to

with the words "Photo Salon Entry - lastname". Title your photo file
with your name and category, e.g. reinertgeneralbiology2.jpg and
then use this name on the
submission
sheet.
